630bhp Audi RS6 Avant GT breaks cover

If you feel that the Audi RS6 Avant Performance’s 620bhp isn’t quite cutting it, Audi now offers the RS6 Avant GT. Equipped with the same 4.0-liter V8 engine, this variant delivers a punchier 630bhp (along with 850Nm of torque), shaving off the 0-100kmph time from 3.3 seconds to a blistering 3.2 seconds.

Audi aims to materialize the RS6 GTO Concept from 2020 with the RS6 Avant GT. This concept, envisioned by 12 apprentices at Audi Design, draws inspiration from the iconic 90 Quattro IMSA GTO racecar of 1989.

Setting the GT apart from the Performance model are several distinctive features: a roof-mounted spoiler, redesigned diffusers, 22-inch alloy wheels, a refreshed cabin color palette, and a lightweight adjustable coilover suspension. Additionally, the rear axle’s differential has undergone refinement.

Contributing to its swifter acceleration are the grippier Continental Sport Contact 7 tires. Furthermore, weight reduction is achieved through the optional all-carbon-fiber bonnet, which buyers can select to have partially or fully exposed.

Keen observers will notice the fender’s air intake with outlets positioned behind the front wheels. Inside, the cabin boasts black Alcantara upholstery enveloping bucket seats, featuring exposed carbon-fiber backs.

Limited to a production run of just 660 units, the RS6 Avant GT undergoes meticulous assembly at Audi’s Böllinger Höfe facility in Germany, where all GT-specific components – including the bonnet, fenders, wing, aprons, and coilovers – are painstakingly installed by hand. Audi has yet to disclose the price tag for this ultra-fast, exclusive, and family-friendly powerhouse.
