Audi India launches Special Edition Audi Q5 in India


The Special Edition Audi Q5 gets two new paint shades, District Green and Ibis White


Audi India has launched the Audi Q5 SUV in a special edition tri. Based on the Technology variant, the Special Edition Q5 gets styling updates over all existing features of the Technology variant.

Mr. Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India said, “The Audi Q5 is a volume seller and we are happy to introduce a special edition for our customers. The Audi Q5 special edition will be available in limited units and is being offered in two new shades in addition to a host of styling enhancements. With quattro all-wheel drive and a feature-rich package, the Audi Q5 will continue to stand-out in the segment.”

Exterior

The Special Edition Q5 will be availabe in two new exclusive colors – District Green and Ibis White. Additionally, it gets the Black Styling Package Plus that paints the exterior mirror housing, Audi Logos, Roof rails in black. Audi has also given the special edition unique 5 spoke V style graphite gray, diamond cut alloy wheels. For this variant, Audi Genuine Accessories kit (Running Boards and Audi Silver Ring Foil) is also offered at a special price.

Interior

On the inside, the Q5 seats are adorned with leather and leatherette combination upholstery. It gets8 airbags which include side airbags in the rear. Additional features include Park assist with parking aid plus, powered front seats with memory function, Audi phone box with wireless charging, 3-zone air-conditioning, ambient lighting package plus with 30 colors .

The infotainment gets a 25.65 cm multimedia touch-screen color display with haptic feedback. The screen, which has Audi’s latest MMI Navigation plus with MMI touch, voice controls, supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The driver information console sports the Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus 31.24 cm HD display with customizable display. The system gets B&O Premium Sound System with 19 speakers producing 3D sound effects at 755 watts output.

Powertrain

The Special Edition Audi Q5 is mechanically unchanged. The 2.0L 45 TFSI engine powers the Audi Q5 to churn out 249 hp of power and 370Nm torque. Power reaches all four wheels via the Quattro four-wheel-drive system which comes as standard for the Q5. Acceleration from 0-100km/h takes 6.3 seconds and the SUV can reach a top speed of 237km/h. The car offers adaptive suspension with damping control. Available with the Audi Drive Select, the driver can choose between six modes, ranging from comfort, dynamic, individual, auto, efficiency and off-road.

Price and Rivals

The Audi Q5 rivals the Mercedes-Benz GLC, The BMW X3, The Volvo XC60 and the Lexus NX300H. Prices for the Q5 start at Rs. 60.50 lakh for the Premium Plus variant, while the Technology variant is priced at Rs. 66.21 Lakh. The Special Edition Q5 based on the Technology variant is priced at Rs. 67.05 lakh, which is a premium of Rs.84,000 over the price of the Technology variant.
