Honda XBlade 160 launched in India for a very attractive price of Rs. 78,500

Honda Two Wheelers India has recently launched a very different and sporty looking 160 cc motorcycle in the country. The bike was showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo 2018 and has been launched at a very appealing price of Rs. 78,500. Talking about the looks the bike indeed looks quite good and looks like something unusual. The new XBlade comes with LED headlight a segment first feature which is quite a good step taken by Honda Two Wheelers. The bike also gets a sporty dual outlet port silencer.

The all-new Honda XBlade shares its underpinning with the Honda CB Hornet 160R and overall comes with a very neat and sharper body language. The Honda XBlade is almost Rs.4000 cheaper than the base model of the CB Hornet 160R. The aggressive and modern XBlade has been designed for millennials and Gen-Z, as promised Honda has already started dispatching the motorcycle form March 2018. The bike uses the same tried and tested HET 160 CC engine churning out a maximum of 13. 93 bhp at 8,500 rpm and develops a peak torque of 13.9 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The motorcycle carries new superior technologies creating a new benchmark with several segment-first features in its class.

The fuel tank of the XBlade is styled sharply which gets chiselled lines and matte black tank extensions with XBLade badging on it which adds to its sporty looks. At the rear, the bike comes with a revamped tail section equipped with LED taillamps and sharply designed grab rails, a rear tyre hugger, dual outlet muffler with a chrome tip. The Honda XBlade will be available in five colours – Matte Marvel Blue Metallic, Matte Frozen Silver Metallic, Pearl Spartan Red, Pearl Igneous Black, Matte Marshal Green Metallic.

Talking about the equipment on the motorcycle, the Honda XBlade comes with a new link type gear shifter, which helps in more precise and flowing gear shifts. The rear wheel is a wide 130 mm and the front gets a 100 mm rubber. Suspension duties are carried out by telescopic forks up front and mono shock suspension at the rear. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed transmission and according to Honda, this engine is specifically designed to deliver good low and mid-range performance for the daily commute. The Honda XBlade will go up against the likes of the Suzuki Gixxer 160 and Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 in the Indian market.
