Next-Gen Maruti Suzuki Celerio Spied Testing On-Road Again

The Next-Generation Maruti Suzuki Celerio spied testing again on-road in India which is currently under development. Codenamed YNC, the next-gen Celerio could be launched in the domestic market by early next year. The upcoming hatchback Celerio is much expected to get a more attractive design and features update.

Mechanically, the car remains unchanged, it will continue to use the same BS6-compliant 1.0-liter triple-cylinder K10B petrol engine that delivers 66 bhp of max power and 90Nm of peak torque. It gets a five-speed manual and an optional five-speed AMT unit.

The new Maruti Suzuki Celerio is expected to get equipped with new headlights, new pair of taillamps with LED signature stylings, a redesigned rear bumper, a well-designed tailgate, and much more. The test mule appears to be bigger than the existing model and expected that the new Celerio could grow in dimensions.

Interior features like smart play touchscreen infotainment system with AppleCarPlay and Android Auto Support, multi-functional steering wheel, multi-information display, electrically adjustable ORVMs, keyless entry, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, and other features are expected to be added in the new Celerio.

According to the carmaker, the second-generation Celerio will be a full model of change and it will be employing a new platform this time around. After the launch, the car will replace the current model which has been in business for 6 years. The hatchback received its mid-life refresh in 2018, and this is the right time to make extensive overhauling of the car. More details will be updated soon.
