Sonalika Tractors have started FY’19 with a record 16.5% growth

International Tractors Limited (ITL) , the same company that makes Sonalika Tractors for India and 4 other nations has sold 9714 tractors as of May, beating the 8335 number as sold in the same period, last year.

Having built, what ITL claims the World’s No.1 Largest Integrated tractor manufacturing plant, at Hoshiarpur, the sales boost sits at 16.5%. The Hoshiarpur plant is equipped to manufacture each and every component that goes into making of their tractors. Right from the sheet metal of the tractors to the whole finished tractor that the customer gets is made at this facilty at Hoshiarpur.

 “We are delighted with our remarkable performance in initial months of FY’19. This has strengthened our confidence to perform better in coming months. We believe with our strong focused efforts we will definitely register healthy growth this year as well. With the arrival of monsoon in Kerala, we are looking at a favorable monsoon across which will boost farmer sentiments.” , said Mr. Raman Mittal, Executive Director Sonalika ITL.

The Indian economy on the whole went through quite a few major changes since the new government came into being back in 2014. Agriculture,with other sectors is stabilising and the growth in tractor sales, as seen here could stand proof to that.

Sonalika Tractors is the 3rd largest tractor manufacturer of India, with exports to over a 100 countries across the globe. The products range from 20hp to 110hp Heavy Duty vehicles. Sonalika Tractors has also been chosen by the Government of India as contributing parners with NITI Ayog. Reportedly, this is aimed at doubling farmers income by 2022.
