Tata Altroz EV Hatchback To Be Launched In 2021

Tata Altroz EV has been spotted testing in India. According to the President of Electric Mobility Business, Tata Altroz EV is expected to launch within the next 12-18 months. Tata Motors is going big on electric vehicles in the Indian Market. A few months back the company launched the extended-range version of the Tigor and Tata Nexon EV. It is well known that the next upcoming electric vehicle is Tata Altroz EV which was showcased at the 2019 Geneve Motor Show.

The Tata Altroz EV will be offered in dimensions of 3,990 mm in length, 1,755 mm in width and 1,523mm in height. The Wheelbase of the model is 2,501mm. The fuel tank capacity of the car is 37-liters and the boot-space of the model is 345-litre. The turning radius of the car is 5.0 meters. The Altroz EV will be based on the ALFA Arc platform.

The Altroz EV looks similar to the standard model albeit with a revised fascia and alloy wheels. The model comes with a manual transmission type. The car is powered by an lithium-ion battery with IP-67 certification. The official engine specifications are not revealed yet. Tata has already announced that all its future electric vehicles will use the Ziptron powertrain technology including Tata Altroz EV.

The estimated price of the Tata Altroz EV is Rs. 14.00 lakh.( ex-showroom price). After the launch, the Tata Altroz EV will rival the likes of the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV300 EV.
