2023 Hyundai Verna Bookings Open

Bookings for the new-generation 2023 Hyundai Verna are now open for Rs 25,000. The new model is available with 1.5-litre turbo and naturally-aspirated petrol engine options

Hyundai Motor India Ltd., the country’s second-largest carmaker and the largest exporter since inception, has commenced the bookings of the new-generation 2023 Hyundai Verna. Customers can pre-order the new Honda City- and Skoda Slavia-rival for a token amount of Rs 25,000.

2023 Hyundai Verna Variants and Trims

The new-generation Hyundai Verna will be available with two engine options – 1.5-litre MPI naturally-aspirated petrol and 1.5-litre GDI direct-injection turbo petrol. While the former will be available with 6-speed manual and IVT (CVT), the turbocharged version will be sold with 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission options. Both the motors are E20-ready and are RDE-compliant. The Verna won’t be sold with a Diesel engine option for the first-time ever since the C2-segmenter entered our market in 2006. Specifications are yet to be revealed but the 1.5 GDI motor is expected to offer in excess of 160 PS-260 Nm. This would make the fourth-gen Verna the most powerful car in its class.

Additionally, the Turbo version will likely offer a black interior theme along with sporty bits like metal pedals and contrast red stitching. The upcoming sedan will be available in 4 trim options – EX, S, SX and SX(O). Buyers will be able to choose from as many as 7 Monotone and 2 Dual-tone exterior colour option. These would include the 3 new monotone colours – Abyss Black (New), Atlas White (New), Tellurian Brown (New & Exclusive).

Likely to Offer ADAS

The 2023 Hyundai Verna will feature a sleek DRL strip at the hood-level. The headlights have been incorporated into the wide parametric grille, a la Tucson. The highlights of the side profile include a high waistline and diamond-cut alloys. Meanwhile, the rear-end will feature connected LED taillamps, which is another design feature seen on the latest models from the carmaker. The new model will likely offer 4 airbags across all trims, while the top-spec model would offer 6 airbags. For additional safety, the company is expected to offer Level 1 ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) technology on the fully-loaded version.
