BYD India has announced the pricing for the 2025 Model Year (MY) BYD SEAL – one of India’s most awarded and celebrated luxury electric sedans. Prices for the 2025 BYD SEAL start at ₹41,00,000(ex-showroom, India)
Following its stellar debut in March 2024 in India, the 2025 BYD SEAL continues to raise the bar with a host of enhancements focused on driving dynamics, cabin experience, smart connectivity and technology. With this announcement, BYD India further reiterates its commitment to the Indian EV market through innovation-driven products that resonate with evolving customer expectations.
The BYD SEAL features a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) low voltage battery (LVB) offering significant benefits, including a six-times lighter weight compared to conventional low-voltage batteries, five-times better self-discharge consumption, and an impressive 15-year lifespan. Inside the cabin, BYD SEAL now comes standard with a power sunshade for added comfort and convenience. A new silver-plated dimming canopy enhances the cabin’s ambience, creating a more refined and premium feel. The air-conditioning system has also been upgraded with a larger compressor capacity and an all-new module for air purification.
The Performance trim of the BYD SEAL also sees the debut of the innovative Disus-C system. This intelligent damping system provides enhanced stability and comfort by dynamically adjusting the dampers based on thousands of inputs per second. Disus-C improves comfort by softening the suspension on bumpy roads and enhances handling by stiffening it during dynamic manoeuvres like cornering, acceleration, and braking.
The Premium version of the BYD SEAL is now equipped with Frequency Selective Dampers (FSD) offering a more refined drive experience. Previously present only in the Performance variant, FSD technology allows the suspension to adapt to different road conditions, balancing comfort and handling, enhancing value and the driving experience for customers who opt for the Premium variant, too.
The BYD SEAL also receives a significant upgrade in its entertainment system. All BYD SEAL models now support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless smartphone integration, allowing drivers to access their favourite apps and content effortlessly.

In India, the BYD SEAL clinched the Times Network Award for EV Sedan of the Year and the Best Battery Technology accolade. It was also honoured with the Autocar Award for Premium EV of the Year. Moreover, the BYD SEAL received the Jagran HiTech Award for the 2024 Premium Car of The Year (Editor’s Choice), Premium EV of the year by Car & Bike and the AutoX Best of 2024: 4W Award. The BYD SEAL was also awarded the 2025 Luxury EV Car by Acko Drive and was the first runner up for Acko Drive’s Premium Car of the Year. On the international stage, the BYD SEAL received the prestigious iF Design Award and was shortlisted among the top three finalists for the “World Car of the Year” at the 2024 Geneva Motor Show’s World Car Awards.
