Hyundai Verna first launched in 2015 is getting a facelift and Hyundai is getting ready to launch the vehicle with significant changes in terms of performance and comfort. The details and its features are not fully revealed yet.
They had showcased the facelift changes in China, which included a trapezoidal grille, larger headlamps, silver inserts, revised front, and rear bumpers and two new sets of alloy wheels. In competing with its rivals they have ensured that they are up-to-date with the technologies, such as touch screen navigation and infotainment system and all-digital instrument cluster.
Under the hood to comply with the latest regulations by Indian Govt. they have featured a 1.5-liter BS6 engine for both the Petrol and Diesel engine variants; the 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol mill is capable of producing 115 hp and 144 Nm of torque while the 1.5-liter turbocharged diesel mill produces a 115 hp of power and 250 Nm of torque. Both the engines could be mated 6-speed MT whereas when it comes to an automatic transmission, the diesel mill is offered in 6-speed AT gearbox whereas the petrol mill is offered in CVT transmission.
Additionally, Verna could be offered in range-topping 1.0-liter turbo petrol mill that is capable of producing 120 hp of power and 177 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed DSG transmission. The turbo variant is expected to feature various cosmetic and technical updates to distinguish it from the rest of the Verna’s. The turbo variant could sport front parking sensors, dual-tip exhausts, all-black-interiors with red inserts, etc.
Along with the technical advancements, it is expected to come with connected car technology powered by blue link, Android auto and apple car play, Climate control, Keyless Entry, Button start, Various drive modes. In terms of safety, it is to be featured with ABS with EBD, Parking Assist included by parking sensors, a rearview camera, and electronic stability control.
The all-new Verna would be offered in 6 color tones, these include Typhoon Silver, Starry Night, Titan Grey, Fiery Red, Phantom Black, and Polar White.
