Skoda India to Launch 5 New and Updated Models in February

The Czech carmaker Skoda has planned to launch 5 cars in the Indian Market this year. These 5 cars includes a new sports sedan, a facelift, a new SUV. Here we are with the details of the cars to be launched in India this year.

Skoda Karoq:

As per the reports, The Skoda Karoq will be imported into the Indian Market. It is completely built unit CBU and it will be subjected to the full bevy of duties and taxes. The Skoda Karoq will be powered by the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine which pumps out 150bhp of power. The engine is mated with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. There is no diesel variant available for this SUV. According to the company reports, the Company is going to launch this SUV in April 2020 in the Indian Market.

Skoda Rapid 1.0-litre BS6 Petrol:

Skoda Rapid BS6 will be major powertrain to launch this year in India. As per the reports, after 1 April 2020, there will be no Rapid Diesel on sale in India. The company is going to discontinue the 1.5-litre TDI turbo-diesel engine. The Skoda Rapid BS6 petrol variant will be powered by the updated 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine which delivers 115hp of power and 200Nm of torque. The updated version of the Skoda Rapid will be launch in the Indian market by April 2020.

Skoda Octavia RS 245:

The Skoda is planning to set to make a comeback of Octavia RS 245 in the Indian Market. This year, the Indian Market will get the Octavia RS 245 which is powered by the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine which makes 245hp of power and 370Nm of torque. The model will come with fully loaded modifications for the Indian Market. The RS 245 will be imported to India and the expected price of the car is Rs. 40 lakh.

Skoda Kodiaq Petrol:

The Skoda is going to launch Skoda Kodiaq Petrol in 2020. The Model is expected to come in the Indian market with some development. The Present 2.0-litre TDI Diesel engine will be replaced by the updated 2.0-litre petrol engine which delivers 190hp of power. The updated engine will come mated to a dual-clutch auto. The Skoda Kodiaq Petrol is expected to come with same equipment and features same as the present model.

Skoda Superb Facelift:

The Skoda India will launch the updated Superb In India in May 2020. The Skoda is going to discontinue the 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine. The Skoda Superb will come with a new 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine which will come at the place of the 1.8-litre engine. The engine delivers 190hp of power. Some changes in the design are expected to come with the new Skoda Superb Facelift. All Specifications will be revealed after the official launch.
