Toyota recalls over 2,300 units of the Glanza

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has initiated a recall for 2,305 units of its Glanza hatchback, produced from April 2 to October 6, 2019, due to a potential issue with the fuel pump motor that may result in engine stalling. The company has committed to reaching out to owners of the impacted vehicles to organize the necessary repair work at no additional cost.

The Glanza is available in four trim levels – E, S, G, and V – and comes with both manual and automatic transmission options, with prices beginning at Rs. 6.86 lakh (ex-showroom). It is powered by a 1.2-liter petrol engine delivering 89bhp and 113Nm of torque, paired with either a five-speed manual or an automated manual transmission (AMT). Additionally, a CNG option is available for the eco-conscious driver.

Furthermore, Toyota is gearing up for the launch of its new Taisor SUV, set to be revealed on April 3, 2024. The Taisor, which is based on the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, will feature distinct design elements including a new front grille, updated alloy wheels, revised bumpers, and a fresh interior design theme, marking its uniqueness in the lineup.
