TVS Apache RTR 180 BS6 launched at INR 1.01 lakh

TVS Motor Company has silently upgraded its performance bike, the Apache RTR 180 to comply with the lastest BS6 norms, in doing so, the manufacturer has hiked the price of the motorcycle by around Rs 6,700. Apache RTR 180 BS6 is priced at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 1.01 lakhs and is around Rs. 7,500 higher than the recently updated Apache RTR 160.

The motorcycle was last updated during 2018, the 2020 Apache RTR 180 comes with redesigned instrumentation cluster, redesigned seats, new paint thems, body graphics, etc. It will come with other notable features such as LED DRLs, single-channel Super-Moto ABS Unit, and split-handlebars. They also feature 270mm and 200mm petal discs at the front and rear wheels, respectively.

All-new Apache RTR 180 is conceived by the 177.7cc, Oil-cooled, BS-VI Race Tuned Fuel Injection (RT-Fi) technology that is capable of churning 16.5bhp of power at 8,500rpm with15.5Nm of torque at 7,000rpm and is mated to 5-speed MT gearbox.

The motorcycle comes with dimensions of 1105 mm in height, 2085 mm in length, 730 mm in width, wheelbase of 1300 mm, and ground clearance of 170 mm. The motorcycle comes with a saddle height of 790 mm and weights 141 kg. It also has fuel tank of 12-liter capacity.

The motorcycle comes with First-in-segment GTT (Glide Through Technology) that enables easy cruising on without actually squeezing the accelerator. The motorcycle runs on 17″ tyres with 90/90 section at the front and 110/80 section at the rear.

The all-new TVS Apache RTR 180 competes against the likes of Bajaj Pulsar 180F, Honda Unicorn 160, Suzuki Gixxer, etc.
