2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport Facelift launched at Rs 57.06 lakh

Land Rover India launched the 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport in India. Launched at a starting price of Rs. 57.06 lakh, the new Discovery Sport is a facelift and not a new generation. The SUV is available in 2 trims, S and R-Dynamic SE. Prices for both variants are Rs. 57.06 lakh and Rs. 60.89 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively.
What’s new?
The 2020 Discovery Sport gets updated styling, new technology, and Hybrid powertrain. Starting off with styling, the facelifted Discovery Sport gets new Headlights with LED lamps. The DRL’s now get an edgy design in place of round on the outgoing model. The bumper is more aggressive and gets new vertical air dams. It also gets LED fog lamps neatly slotted between the black cladding and bumper.
The side profile is very identical to the outgoing model. The lower S trim features different alloy wheels, identical to those found on the Range Rover Evoque’s S trim. The rear gets new LED tail lamps, and again, restyled bumper with chrome exhaust inserts.
Interior
The 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport now has a refreshed interior. The first thing to notice is the new digital MID behind the steering wheel. It gets a high resolution LED screen that displays various information about the vehicle. The new dashboard design retains the clean lines of the previous model. The Discovery Sport gets a touch pro infotainment system, controlled via the new High-Resolution Touch Screen display in the center of the dashboard. The R-Dynamic SE trim gets the Meridian sound system, while the S trim has the standard Land Rover Music system.
Loads of tech makes its way into the new Discovery Sport. Namely, Cabin Air Ionisation, 4G wifi hotspot, Clear Sight Rearview Mirror, Lane Keep Assist, Driver Attention Monitor. It also gets the Torque Vectoring By Braking system to sharpen the handling while going around bends.

Powertrain
The 2020 Discovery Sport is available in petrol as well as diesel engine options. It features Jaguar-Land Rover’s 2 liter Ingenium petrol and diesel engines. The Petrol variant also gets a 48V Mild Hybrid system for better fuel economy. The Petrol engine makes 247Hp and 350Nm of torque. the Diesel variant makes 177Hp and 430 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired to an 8-Speed automatic gearbox.
