Datsun has now revealed the CVT-equipped version of its GO Hatchback and Go+ MPV, which has been priced at the cost of INR 5.94 lakh and INR 6.58 lakh, respectively. The starting price for both models makes them the most affordable CVT in India. The automatic models can be had in two levels of Trim – T, and T(O).
The Go and Go+ CVT trims are both supported by the same 1.2 liters, three-cylinder petrol engine that does duty in their manual counterparts. Moreover, the automatic feature is an upgraded version of the engine, which pumps out a higher 77hp of the power as compared to the 68HP in the manual. At the capacity of 104Nm, the engine torque output still remains unchanged.
The bookings for the CVT units were opened last month for an amount of INR 11000 at any Datsun or the Nissan Dealer across the country. In their top specifications, T(O) trims, the Datsun comes features with a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the Android Auto and Apple Car Play, manual air conditioning, LED DRL’s, rear wiper, 14-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, electrically adjustable ORVM’s. As for the safety features, they get the vehicle dynamic control, which is a segment-first dual Airbags, ABS with EBD, seat belt reminder, brake assist, and rear parking sensors.
