Volkswagen India today launched Tiguan Allspace at an ex-showroom starting price of Rs 33.13 lakh. The Tiguan Allspace 7-seater will takeover the current-gen 5-seater Tiguan. The automaker claims that this SUVW is versatile, flexible and immensely practical. The Tiguan Allspace along with T-Roc will be brought to India via CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route.
The Tiguan Allspace is built on Volkswagen’s latest MQB platform and is longer by current-gen Tiguan by about 215mm. The all-new Tiguan Allspace comes with a wheelbase of 2,787 mm, the wheelbase is said to be larger than the current-gen Tiguan. The SUV comes with a decent 340 litres boot space that can be further extended up to 1,274 litres. The car comes with dimensions of 4821mm in length, 1839mm in width, 1674 in height, wheelbase of 2787mm and has fuel-tank of 60-litre capacity.
The premium 7-seater SUV is powered by Volkswagen’s 2.0l TSI engine that is capable of producing 190PS of power at 4200 rpm and 320Nm of torque at 1500-4100rpm. The engine will be mated to a 7-speed DSG 4MOTION transmission gearbox.
The interiors of the car are elegant and feature-rich, it comes with a TFT digital instrument console which can be customized based on the rider. The instrumentation cluster is capable of displaying advance driving data which includes driving dynamics, vehicle status, infotainment and assist functions. It comes with a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting and an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with AppConnect feature.
Towards the outside, it has distinctive high hood & radiator grille with chrome work. It comes with features such as LED headlamps with DRL, illuminated scuff plates and runs on large 18″ alloy wheels with 235/55 section tyres. It also comes with the park assist feature, a system which is capable of measuring the distance to find a suitable parallel or perpendicular space. Additionally, the car features handsfree boot operation and 3-zone climate control automatic AC.
The Tiguan Allspace is packed with safety features such as up to 7-airbags, Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), Anti-lock braking system (ABS) with EBD, Electronic differential lock (EDL), Seat belt warning, ISOFIX for child seats, Tyre Pressure Monitoring system, etc.
Tiguan Allspace will be offered in 7-colour themes, these include Habanero Orange, Petroleum Blue, Deep Black Pearl, Ruby Red, Platinum Grey, Pure White, Pyrit Silver.

Volkswagen will be offering a warranty of 4 years / 100,000 kilometres (whichever is earlier) along with 4 Year Roadside Assistance.
