Isuzu has launched the 2019 D-Max V-Cross facelift in India. Even with as many as 20 added features, the prices remain unchanged. The pick-up, which is a favorite for travel-ardents and offroaders now gets new styling and a longer features list.

Exterior

Isuzu says the new facia takes inspiration from a Cyborg Orca. Which translates to a more aggressive front-end. The headlamps are more angular with integrated LED DRLs. The new grille is more aggressive and rounded. What adds to the aggression is the chrome stripe from the grille that seamlessly merges into the headlamps, which gives the V-Cross a sort of angry-eyebrows look. The bumper is also more sporty and aggressive, highlighted by the chrome stripe for the foglamp housing.

The side profile remains largely identical with the flared wheel arches. Isuzu has given the V-Cross bigger 18-inch wheels. The rear gets a refreshed tailgate. Also, the tail-lamps now get LEDs in them.  The pick-up is now available in two new paint shades: Sapphire Blue and Silky Pearl White.

Interior

The V-Cross’ updated interior now carries an all-black theme. The seats get a new contoured design for added comfort. Also, the black leather seats get perforated leather for a premium feel (on the High Z variant). There is a new blue backlit 3D Design Electroluminescent Instrument cluster that provides the driver’s data. The rear passengers now get an added USB port.

Safety

The 2019 Isuzu V-Cross gets dual front airbags as standard. In addition to that, it comes loaded with features like ABS, EBD with Brake Assist, ESC with Traction Control System, Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control.

Other safety features include Seatbelt Pre-tensioners with Load Limiter, ISOFIX Child Seat Anchorage, the lot.

Powertrain

The V-Cross comes with an updated BS-VI compliant 2.5-liter diesel engine, developing 132 horsepower and 320Nm of torque. It is paired to a 5-Speed manual transmission. It also gets a Shift-on-the-fly 4 Wheel Drive System.
