Booking Open for the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE

Bookings for the new generation Mercedes-Benz GLE have started. The Benz GLE will be launched in the Indian Market before the 2020 Auto Expo.

The Mercedes-Benz has already been spotted while testing of this car on the Indian Road. The Successor to the third-gen GLE, a rebadged ML-Class, was spied during a public road test on the road of Pune, Maharastra.

The new GLE will come with more than one BS6-Compliant diesel engine option for India. The range of the engine will start at the GLE 400d with a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder engine which makes 330hp of power at 3,600-4,000 rpm and 700Nm of torque at 1,200-3,000 rpm. A Second diesel variant, the GLE 300d, equipped with the new 2.0-litre, in-line 4-cylinder engine could also be introduced. The engine makes 245hp of power and 500Nm of torque. All of the engine options come mated with 9-speed automatic gearbox.

The 4th-gen GLE gets fresh styling with a unique exterior look. It comes with more cabin space, thanks to its added length and wheelbase increase of around 80mm. As the interior features, the car includes two 12.3-inch screens along with a multi-functional steering wheel, similar to the ones seen on the newer Mercedes-Benz models.

The Mercedes-Benz India has also announced that the third-gen GLE has been sold out in the Indian Market. The Company has also handed more than 250 cars to the customers on the Dhanteras, in the Delhi NCR region along with more than 600 vehicles delivered in the Mumbai, Pune, Gujarat, Kolkata, Punjab on the same day.

The Mercedes-Benz GLE is going to rival the likes of the BMW X5, the Land Rover Discovery, the Audi Q7 and the Volvo XC90 in the Indian Market.
