Jeep Compass Trailhawk India: What you shoul know about a more extreme Compass

Jeep is launching the Jeep Compass Trailhawk in India near the end of 2018. One can reckon from the name itself that Trailhawk could be the top diesel model of Compass lineup and yes It is. Let’s take a look at what is packaged in the car

The base variant of Compass Trailhawk has priced at Rs 24 lakh(ex-showroom price). And it is expected to debut in India near the end of 2018 or early 2019. Jeep is claiming that the model’s engine is under calibration to meet the Bharat Stage VI requirements which would be implemented in 2020.

Engine and transmission

Trailhawk will have a 2.0 liter 4 cylinder multijet II engine which could produce 170bhp @3500 rpm of power and has max torque capacity of 350Nm. There will only be a diesel fuel option. Jeep is claiming 16.3 kmpl of fuel economy for this car.

For transmission, the car will have 6 gears which is will be manually operated. It will be a four- wheel drive car having kerb weight 1641 kg.

Brakes and suspensions

Front suspension will be Mc Pherson strut with lower control arm disc while the rear one will be integrated with multi-link suspension with strut assembly.

Both end of tyres will have disc brake type having wheel size 17 inch.

Dimensions

The car is a five seater having boot capacity and fuel capacity of 408 litres and 60 litres respectively.

Talking about exterior dimensions of the car, they are 4395*1818*1640 mm. The ground clearance and wheelbase dimensions are 178 mm and 2636 mm respectively
