The Suzuki Access 125 and the TVS Ntorq 125 are the best performers in 125cc segment of scooters. Access 125 was introduced way back in 2007 while the Ntorq is a new player. Both the scooters were upgraded to BS6 in 2020 and the latest models are good with appealing features.

Variants and price

Access 125 has 3 variants; Drum brakes with CBS, Disc brakes and alloy wheels with CBS, black alloy wheels and disc break with CBS. The disc break variant comes at Rs 73,300.

The TVS Ntorq also comes in 3 variants; Race Edition 124 cc, Super Squad Edition 124 cc, Disc BS6 124 cc.The disc break variant comes at Rs 72,885

Characteristics

Access 125 has a flat and wider seat which provides a better seating and riding experience compared to Ntorq’s bump seat. TVS NTORQ 125 is available in as many as 11 different colours – Combat Blue, Stealth Black, Invincible Red, Red, Matte Yellow, Matte White, Metallic Red, Matte Red, Metallic Grey, Metallic Blue, and Matte Silver. Access comes in 7 colours-White, silver, black, red, grey, matte red and matte black.

Performance

The TVS Ntorq is slightly powerful. It produces 9.25 BHP of peak power at 7000 RPM and 10.5 Nm of peak torque at 5500 RPM, whereas the Access 125’s makes 8.57 BHP at 6750 RPM and 10 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM.  Not much difference but Access 125 has an upper hand in mileage with 64kmpl. Mileage of Ntorq is 60 kmpl.

Features

Front disc size of Ntorq is greater than that Access 125. Ntorq has Alloy wheels and Access 125 has Sheet metal wheel type. Some interesting features present in Ntorq is Digital Speedometer, Clock, Low oil indicator and fuel warning indicator. Access also boasts many features like Chrome Head Lamp, and Large Size Under-seat Compartment, etc.

Final verdict

The TVS Ntorq has a sporty look which attracts the youth while Suzuki’s Access 125 has a classic and vintage design. Ntorq is a stylish and powerful beast but Access 125 provides better comfort for daily commute. Both these are tough competitors and very good performance scooters.
